5.3.2 Preparatory Steps
1.
Purge the analyzer with an inert gas, such as nitrogen.
2.
Disconnect the analyzer from the source of electrical power.
3.
The analyzer and its components may be hot, allow time for them to cool before handling.
5.3.3 Removing the Herriott Cell from the AccuLase-GPA™ D1
1.
Complete all steps described in section 5.2 of this manual to extract the component rail from
the AccuLase-GPA™ D1 enclosure.
2.
Once extraction is complete, locate the fitting connecting the Herriott cell to the vacuum
pump shown in Figure 59.

3.
Using the appropriate size wrenches, undo the fitting and disconnect the associated tubing
from the Herriott cell.
4.
Locate the RTD connector shown in Figure 60.

5.
Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, undo the screw holding the RTD connector in place.
6.
Locate the detector shown in Figure 61.
