Partition Settings
This section describes the procedure for setting up a partition.

Register the hostid.

Specify the necessary settings for the partition.

Set up the multiport console connection unit.

Specify the necessary settings for the user LAN.

Install the Solaris Operating Environment in each partition.
Hostids are preset before shipping. Additional hostids are necessary for expanded
partitions.

Changing the Partition Configuration
This section describes how to modify the configuration of a partition. Partitions can
be changed by either (a) rebooting or (b) dynamic reconfiguration.
