The paper is damp. Replace with paper from a new ream.

Condensation may have occurred inside the printer. Using the control panel, set the
time the printer is in the power saver mode to 60 minutes, and then leave the printer
switched on. The inside of the printer warms up and the condensation evaporates.
When the condensation has evaporated you can use the printer normally.

Missing characters throughout
the length of the paper
The drum cartridge is not set correctly. Load the drum cartridge correctly.

The Draft Mode feature is turned on and the resolution is set at a low level on the printer
driver. Change the settings on the [Detailed Settings] of the printer driver.
