Open the perimeter switch (old conf.
with black wire only):
Check connections and black wire
leading from the p. switch to the
connector
Remove the black cable (WSB0025B)
and connect the perimeter wire ends
directly to the screws inside the p.
switch – if it works you can continue
in operation
Confirm wire is plugged in and
wire leads are firmly attached
Confirm good contacts
between perimeter
switch/docking board and
perimeter wire
Disconnect and connect the
zone (plot) connector to the
perimeter switch
Open the 2 screws of the zone
connector and confirm the
wire ends and the connector
are clean of corrosion/rust.
Wire

indicator is

Switch)
Do you have
another zone
with a
perimeter wire
set up?
3.2.1.1
Perform initial search for the disconnected wire:
Take out the two wire ends from the zone
connector – confirm they are clean, reinsert
and tighten the screws
Try to remember if any work has been done
since the last operation which could have
caused a break in the wire
Look for a damaged wire very close to the
point where the mower stopped during
operation
Check the wires leading from the perimeter
switch to the lawn
Walk along the wire (including perimeter
islands) and look closely for a cut in the wire
or a loose connection.
Check all wire connections carefully
Make sure there are no wire splices made
without standard wire connectors
‘

Note!
There is a Wire-Break Locator
product that is designed to find
breaks in the Perimeter Wire and it
can be purchased directly from the
company manufacture it.
It is not a Friendly Robotics product
and Friendly Robotics did not test
it, thus there will not be any
responsibility or support by Friendly
to this product.

Try the perimeter switch
in another zone
Disconnect the perimeter wire ends
from the zone connector by opening
the 2 screws
Cut a short wire and strip 0.5cm of
insulation from each wire end
Insert one end into each hole of the
connector and tighten the screws
Press the ‘ON’ button of the p. switch
Replace Perimeter
Switch
Perform a secondary search for the
disconnected wire by testing different lengths of
the wire using the p. switch (See next page for
secondary search).
It should be noted that it could be difficult to
find a cut or loose connection in the wire using
a visual method. A new setup should be
considered as a solution at this stage.
