Installing the Software

Insert the

VT Plus for Windows



disk into a 3.25” disk drive on your PC. Select

RUN

from the start menu under Microsoft



Windows



95/98/NT. When the run dialog box

shows type in “a:\setup.exe”, if your disk drive is not “a”, substitute its drive letter for
“a”. Click

OK

.

The installation program for

VT Plus for Windows



asks you several questions before

installing the program. You are given the option to specify where you want the program
installed on your computer. If you are installing over a previous version of this software
you will be asked where to back up old copies of your files. Also, you are asked where to
put the icons for the

VT Plus for Windows



program. Simply follow the instructions

given by the installation program. If no changes are made to the default installation
options,

VT Plus for Windows



will be installed to “C:\Program Files\VTPlus”, and the

shortcuts to the program will be in the VT Plus group.

Starting the Software

With the software installed and the

VT PLUS HF

connected, you are ready to start the

software application. The first time the software is used, the application will attempt to
establish communications with the

VT PLUS HF

. The following will be shown on the

screen:

The software will check the serial communication ports (also called Comm Ports) listed
in the Windows Registry. If the software cannot find the

VT PLUS HF

, the following

screen will appear allowing you to set which communication port the

VT PLUS HF

is

connected to:
