The Hct/Hgb parameter can be defined to use either 

hematocrit or hemoglobin.  Hematocrit is used as the 
measurement for this manual; however, hemoglobin may also be 
used.

 after the donor’s hematocrit has been 

entered correctly. 

After all donor information has been entered, the 

red cell volume 

and

 plasma volume buttons

 

will display the default procedure volume 

as specified by the procedure nomogram (located in the 
Appendix) or center requirements.

select the desired plasma collection volume.  Touch the

 and verify the correct volume is displayed.

health regulating agencies.   

Note:

  The instrument will not allow entry of donor or product 

inputs inconsistent with configured settings of the instrument’s 
Administrative Settings.  An audible tone and flashing data 
button indicates entry of unacceptable data input.
