Administering Saline

The operator may choose to give saline to the donor while the
procedure is paused. To give saline to the donor, touch the

return fluid button

on the pause screen to access the infuse saline

screen.

A screen overlay displays the amount of saline available for the
donor.

Typical Infuse Saline Screen Overlay

(No Saline Flowing to Donor)

This overlay provides the operator with the chance to adjust
the saline flow rate prior to actually giving the donor saline.
The rate at which saline is delivered to the donor can be
adjusted by touching the

up arrow button

or

down arrow button

.

To return to the Pause Screen, touch the

cancel button

.

To begin the flow of saline to the donor, touch the

start button
