Turns the Insert function on and off.

Deletes the character marked by the cursor.

Generates the System Request function in
some application programs (when used with
Alt).
Controls scrolling in some applications.
Suspends the current operation.
Terminates the current operation (when used
with Ctrl).
The
Caps Lock, Num Lock,
and
Scroll Lock
keys work as
toggles; press the key once to turn on a function and again to
turn it off. When the function is enabled, the corresponding
light in the upper right comer of the keyboard is on. When the
function is disabled, the light is off.
