The
On Line
light is on but nothing prints.
Your computer may not be properly connected to the printer.
Perform the procedure described in “Testing the
computer-to-printer connection” in the Getting Ready! booklet.
The interface cable may not be plugged in securely. Check both
ends of the cable between the printer and the computer.
Make sure that your interface cable meets the specifications for
the printer and computer.
If you are using the serial interface, set the baud rate, protocol,
data bit, and related settings. See your computer manual for
the correct settings and interface requirements.
If you are using the parallel interface, set the Speed setting (on
either the Parallel B or C menu) to match the value the
computer requires.
Make sure that your software is properly set up for your
printer.
The imaging cartridge may be empty. Replace it as described at
the end of this chapter.
The printer doesn’t print and the
On Line
light is off.
Press
On Line
once to put the printer on line (the On Line light
comes on).
