6. Select the fonts you want to install by highlighting their
names in the Available Fonts list.
As soon as you highlight a font name, the arrow button
between the two lists points to the left, indicating the fonts
will be transferred to the Installed Fonts list.
7. After selecting all of the fonts you want to install, click on the
left-pointing arrow button to begin the installation.
The fonts are copied into a directory named PCLFNT, which
is created by the Font Manager. If you want to use a
different directory name, specify the name you want to use
before clicking
OK .
8. Now you can specify permanent fonts (fonts that stay in
printer memory until you switch power off). Select a font
name in the Installed Fonts list by highlighting its name,
and click on the
Permanent radio button.
Note:
You must specify permanent fonts one-by-one. If you select more
than one font name in the Installed Fonts list, the
Temporary
and Permanent radio buttons will become dimmed on the
display (which indicates they cannot be used). If you want to
make more than one font permanent, you must repeat the above
step as many times as necessary. Permanently installed fonts
may make printing quicker, but they also reduce the amount of
memory available for printing graphics and complex pages.
9. After you finish installing the fonts, click Exit to return to
the Driver Settings window.
