500-Sheet Lower Paper Cassette

The optional lower paper cassette gives you a second paper
source, in addition to the MP Tray. You can install up to 2
optional cassettes (for a maximum of 1,250 sheets loaded in the
printer, including the MP Tray). This section describes how to
install the cassette and load paper.

Installing the lower paper cassette

1. Turn off the printer.

2. Unplug the printer’s power cord from the electrical outlet

and from the printer.

3. Remove all interface cables from the interface connectors.

4. Lift the printer. Make sure the printer and cassette are facing

the same way. Align the pins on the cassette with the holes
on the bottom of the printer, and then lower the printer
until it rests securely on the cassette.
