If the test pattern seems too heavy, change the setting to
Light
as described below; if it seems too light, change the setting to
Dark
; if you are printing gray shading or screen patterns,
change the setting to
Off
.
To change the RITech setting, follow these steps:
Using the printer driver:
Changing the RITech setting on the Printer SelecType menu in
the printer driver.
Using the Remote Control Panel utility:
Bring up the Remote Control Panel utility by typing
EPRCPO
at the DOS prompt; select the appropriate emulation from the
main Remote Control Panel window; click the
Printer Setup
button; then change the RITech setting.
Using SelecType:
For information on using SelecType, see Chapter 6.
If the pattern still needs to be improved, you may have to
change the print density setting. For a darker RITech setting,
make the print density lighter and vice versa. See the next
section for more information.
Adjusting print density
Do not change the print density unless it is necessary.
Changing the print density affects all text and graphics, so
check the new setting by printing several pages with various
kinds of text and graphics.
If your test pages are too light or too dark, adjust the print
density by using the printer driver, the Remote Control Panel
utility, or the SelecType mode.
