Disassembly and Assembly
Removing the Upper Paper Guide and Top PE Sensor
1.
Remove the paper bail assembly. (Refer to page 3-34.)
2.
Disconnect the red, 3-pin, top PE sensor connector from the connector junction
board assembly. (Refer to page 3-32.)
3.
Remove the 2 CPS (M4 x 6) screws securing the upper paper guide to both
frames and remove the paper guide.
4.
Release the 2 notches for the top PE sensor cover and remove the cover.
5.
Remove the 2 CPS (SP) (M3 x 8) screws securing the top PE sensor to the
upper paper guide and remove the sensor.

Removing the Tension Roller Shaft
This section describes how to remove the tension roller shaft. It is easiest to
remove the tension roller shaft when the paper bail assembly is removed;
however, removing it is not required.
(See Removing the Plunger and Paper Bail
Assembly,
on page 3-34, for instructions on how to remove the paper bail
assembly.)
1.
Remove the connector junction board assembly, as described previously in this
chapter.
2.
While pushing on the tension pulley, remove the CR timing belt, described
later in this chapter.
3.
Remove the upper paper guide. (See the description at the top
page.)
