Syntax of the “no” Form
The
no
form
of
this
command
removes
a
UDP
port
or
UDP
protocol.
If
the
UDP
protocol
is
removed,
UDP
forwarding
is
disabled.
no ip forward-protocol
{
udp
[
port
]}
Mode
Global
configuration:
XSR(config)#
Defaults
Enabled,
but
no
port
specified.
This
acts
as
a
BOOTP
forwarding
agent.
The
above
list
of
ports
is
used
by
default
for
forwarding.
Examples
The
following
example,
as
shown
in
Figure 5
‐
6
,
forwards
UDP
traffic
to
a
router
across
the
Internet:
XSR(config)#ip forward-protocol udp
XSR(config)#interface fastethernet 1
XSR(config-if<F1>)#ip helper-address 196.1.1.255
This
example
removes
DNS
from
the
list
of
ports
for
which
UDP
broadcast
forwarding
is
done:
XSR(config)#no ip forward-protocol udp 53
