3-8 Common Functions
Selecting the origin position (HP-GL mode only)
When the command mode is set to HP-GL, you can set the position of the origin
point to the lower left corner or center of the effective plotting area.
When the command mode is set to GP-GL mode, this setting is not available.
The registered origin position retained in memory even while the printer is
turned off. If the origin position is set to CENTER, the X= and Y= coordi-
nate values shown at the display panel represent the relative distance from the
lower left corner of the effective printing area.

To select the origin position

Press PAUSE.

Press NEXT DISPLAY.

Press F4 (SETUP).
<CENTRO RS422>
Press F1 (CENTRO) to select the origin position for the Centronics-com-
patible parallel interface, or press F3 (RS422) to select it for the RS-422
serial interface.

Press ENTER.
ORIGIN POINT
LOWER LEFT CENTER
Press F2 to choose LOWER LEFT or F4 to choose CENTER.

Press Enter to save the origin position indicated by the blinking square.

Press PAUSE to return to READY status.
