5-14 Setting Cutting Options
4
Use the up and down Position keys to adjust the cutter offset value.
5
Depending on the type and thickness of the media, fine adjustment of the
cutter offset may be required. Set the blade type to OTHER, then set the
cutter offset in the range of 1 to 45. Refer to the preceding figures and
gradually adjust the cutter offset value while checking the results by running
a cutting test.
Testing cutter settings
Before you begin production cutting, be sure to check that the cutting parameters
are set correctly. The FORCE and SPEED values, in particular, should initially
be set to low values and gradually increased while running cutting tests.
Cutting Test 1 and cutting Test 2 functions, available in Cutting mode, are used
to check the cut results before an actual cutting operation. Check how the film
has been cut and whether the corners have been cut as intended, then set the
cutting conditions to obtain optimum results.
