GETTING ST
ARTED
The NovaCut 54 has an auxiliary pinch roller between the right and left
pinch rollers. Position this roller within its yellow seal so that it is approxi-
mately centered between the right and left pinch rollers. Depending on the
media width, change the position of the media set lever and center pinch
roller pressure selector to adjust the pressure of the pinch rollers according
to the table below.
Note
: Before raising or lowering the center pinch roller, set the media
set lever to the DOWN2 position. (NovaCut 54 only.)

Make sure the media loading lever is UP before moving the rollers.
Position media so the rightmost grit roller is used.
Insert the roller up/down pin while the media loading lever is UP, then
lower it to the Down 1 or Down 2 position while keeping your finger on
the pin. If the lever is UP, the pin will pop out.
If narrow format media is used, the printing area is restricted by the
position of roller 1. Check that the width of the data matches the actual
usable media width.
