2-4 Getting Started
6. Enter key.
After setting a function at the control panel, press this key to accept
the settings. To reset the unit, press the Enter and Origin keys concurrently.
7. Origin key.
(Use in Cutting mode only.) Press this key to save a new cutting
origin.
8. Media feed/cut key.
Press this key to feed or cut media.If ON has been selected
at the Cross Cutter Control function menu, the media is cut when this key is
pressed. If OFF is selected, the media is fed the specified page length.
9. Test key.
Used to start printing tests and cutting tests.
In Print mode:
Press the Test button to run the print test or to move the cartridge carriage out of
the service station.
In Cutting mode:
Press the Test button to check whether the current cutting conditions are compat-
ible with the media which is currently loaded.
10. Copy key.
Used to make copies of the data in the unit's buffer. (cutting mode
only)
11. Position keys.
Used to move the starting point of a printing or cutting operation.
Also used to increase or decrease the numeric value of a function setting and to
select the pen type when setting a group of cutting conditions. (Cutting mode
only)
12. Print LED.
Lights when the unit is in Print mode.
13. Cut LED.
Lights when the unit is in Cutting mode.
14. Prompt LED.
Lights when the unit receives data which is outside the effective
printing area or when it receives invalid data. When this occurs, you should
check the printing parameters set in your software application.
15. Power LED.
Lights when the unit has power turned on.
