TRANSPORT OR ST

ORAGE

12 Continue using the suction pump until all the distilled water in the ink

induction tube has been extracted.

13 While pressing the latch on the connector of the ink induction tube,

detach the ink induction tube from the suction pump.

14 Dispose of the ink in the suction pump.
15 Repeat the preceding steps for each ink induction tube.

Removing ink from the ink reservoirs

Before starting, remove all four ink cartridges and extract the ink from the ink

supply lines as described in the two preceding sections.  Note that two persons

are required for this procedure.

1

Place the unit on a piece of old cloth or equivalent material.

2

Wear the disposable gloves provided in the ink tool kit.

3

While one person removes the two screws that secure the ink tank unit to

the left side of the unit, the other person holds the ink tank unit to prevent

it from falling.  Do not remove the caps on the ink tanks yet, because the

ink inside may spill.

4

Remove the sponge that secures the ink reservoirs inside the ink reser-

voir cover.
