If there are any errors detected when communicating with the IO-Link device, the
corresponding bit in the IO-Link Error status byte (offset 2) will be set to 1.
•
If a high voltage is detected on the auxiliary input of an IO-Link port, the corresponding bit in
the IO-Link Auxiliary Input status byte (offset 3) will be set to 1.
See the following table for the description of each byte of the IO-Link Status module.
Status Byte
Status Bit Description
IO-Link Active
0: IO-Link port is not active, no IO-Link device is detected.
1: IO-Link port is active, an IO-Link device is detected and
operational.
IO-Link PDI Valid
0: IO-Link port PDI data is not valid.
1: IO-Link port PDI data is valid.
IO-Link Auxiliary Input
0: Low voltage detected on the auxiliary pin of an IO-Link port.
1: High voltage detected on the auxiliary pin of an IO-Link port.
IO-Link Error
0: No error detected
1: An error detected. Further information about the error is
available in PROFINET IO channel diagnostics.
