11: Legacy Switchboard Meter (non-SWB3)

11.1: Introduction

This chapter gives you a brief overview of the Nexus® 1262/1272 legacy Switchboard 
option (not SWB3). See Chapter 6 for instructions on the newer SWB3 Switchboard 
meter and Chapter 11 for its wiring. The legacy Switchboard meter gives you all the 
features of the Socket meter in a compact case. Easy installation or disconnection is 
the primary benefit of choosing this option. The Switchboard system lets you install or 
“rack out” the meter in two easy steps. Minimal manual wiring is required to connect 
or disconnect the meter.

The Switchboard meter comes in an S1 form relay case, but it has an optional retrofit 
panel that converts the meter to fit in an M1 form panel cutout. See Section 11.6 for 
details.

The Switchboard meter operates in the same way as the Socket meter.
