Practical Use of the PR-1000HD —
Importing Materials
Importing material via the network
The PR-1000HD can make the import folder public on the network, allowing material to be copied
from a computer.
However, only the following formats are supported.
1.
Make network settings.
Make network settings as described in “Making the Network Settings” (p. 100).
2.
Make the import folder public.
Make the import folder public as described in “Using drive sharing to share the import folder”
(p. 101) or “Using FTP to share the import folder” (p. 102).
3.
Copy the material to the import folder.
* If the network connection is broken while material is being copied, the material may be damaged or the
system may become unstable. Please use caution.
4.
Click the “Stop Sharing” button.
5.
In the lower right of the Edit mode screen, click the [Import] button.
The "Import Material" dialog box will appear.

720/29.97p, 720/25p: 19Mbps CBR

Avoid connecting directly to the
Internet.
HDV (720/59.94p, 720/50p) is
not supported.
Supported frame rates differ
according to regional
specifications.
If you use file sharing
functionality, please note the
following points.
• Before you power down the
PR-1000HD or stop
sharing, you must stop the
connection on the
computer.
• A file sharing password has
not been set. For this
reason, you should not use
the file sharing functionality
in a network environment
where unexpected access
may occur, such as on the
Internet.
• If you don't want to share
files, turn off the PR-
1000HD's file sharing
functionality.
You can not use the material
shorter than one second.
