Following completion of the cycle time or when all the compressors are at standstill, compressors that can be
assigned to the speed controller via relay outputs of the pack controller outputs are alternately switched to the
speed controller according to the following sequence (the stage Cn is the first compressor stage of the
respective Z1 / Z2 circuit):
Base load rotation
with two running compressors
(Cn and Cn +1):
Base load rotation with one running compressor
(Cn or Cn +1):
• Reduce speed to min. value
• Switch off compressor (Cn+1) on mains supply
• Reduce speed to zero
• 3 seconds delay
• Switch off speed controlled compressor (Cn)
• 3 seconds delay
• Base load rotation
• 3 seconds delay
• Switch on compressor (Cn+1) on mains supply
• 3 seconds delay
• Switch on speed controlled compressor (Cn)
• Increase compressor speed input signal until the speed before
switching is reached.
• Reduce speed to zero
• Switch off speed controlled compressor (Cn)
• 3 seconds delay
• Base load rotation
• 3 seconds delay
• Switch on speed controlled compressor (Cn)
• Increase compressor speed input signal until the speed before
switching is reached.
4.4.6 Control of Z2 compressors via consumer
It must be configured in the pack controller whether the booster / satellite compressor (Z2 temperature area)
should be controlled via the suction gas pressure or directly from the consumer. The parameter Booster/Sat.
Reg. in menu 3.1 points to → the following list:
Consumer
Pressure (factory setting)
The consumer control must be activated in this list for compressor control via consumer. After exit from the list,
the parameter Kn.Nr.Verbr. xx (consumer CAN bus address) is displayed after the parameter Booster/Sat.Reg.
With the input of this consumer CAN bus address (node number), the controller is notified which case
controller can load and unload the booster / satellite compressor (CAN bus address 1..99). If only one
compressor is available, the compressor output follow the solenoid valve of the consumer. If multiple
compressors are available, the first compressor is loaded without time delay.
Other compressor loading operations are performed after expiry of the configurable basic time tb. The
compressor with the shortest run time is always loaded. If compressor capacity stages should be unloaded, a
single compressor is unloaded without delay. If multiple compressors are available, the first compressor is
unloaded without time delay.
Other compressor unloading operations are performed after expiry of the configurable basic time tb. The
compressor with the longest run time is always unloaded. The suction gas pressure is monitored using the Z2
pressure transducer. If the pressure drops below a configurable threshold, the compressor is disabled until the
pressure exceeds the threshold again.
This threshold (t0 Comp. OFF Z2) can be configured in menu 3-4. The monitoring of the starts is not active for
