5.7.6 On-off control
The on-off control can be selected via a parameter instead of the continuous temperature control and can be
parametrised separately for each zone.
Controller types UA 121 E, UA 131 E, UA 141 E
The regulation is alternatively performed using two temperature sensors (supply air and return air sensors). The
cooling relay switches off if any of the two sensors has reached its setpoint (switch-off value). The temperature
control enables the superheat control. The enable is carried out with the set hysteresis of the sensor which has
also disabled the superheat control. If one sensor fails or a setpoint (supply air or return air) is switched off, the
control is performed on the respective other sensor. If both sensors fail, the system switches to emergency
operation.
Controller types UR 141 TE, UR 141 NE
The cooling is controlled according to the temperature of the room air sensor. The cooling relay is switched off if
the room air sensor reaches the specified setpoint (switch-off value). The room control enables the superheat
control. The enable is carried out with the set hysteresis of the sensor which has also disabled the superheat
control.
In the event of failure of the sensor, the system switches to emergency operation. The fans are switched with
the temperature control. The fans start when the temperature controller enables the superheat control. The fans
switch off again when the superheat control is disabled.
Controller type UK 100 E
The cooling is controlled according to the temperature of the refrigerant temperature sensor. The cooling relay
is switched off if this sensor reaches the specified setpoint (switch-off value). The refrigerant temperature
control enables the superheat control. The enable is carried out with the set hysteresis of the sensor which has
also disabled the superheat control. In the event of failure of the sensor, the system switches to emergency
operation.
Controller type KR 160 E
The cooling is controlled according to the temperature of the cascade outlet temperature sensor. The cooling
relay is switched off if this sensor reaches the specified setpoint (switch-off value). The cascade outlet
temperature control enables the superheat control. The enable is carried out with the set hysteresis of the
sensor which has also disabled the superheat control. In the event of failure of the sensor, the system switches
to emergency operation.
ATTENTION
The operation of the superheat regulation with two temperature sensors R5.x/R6.x (without local
pressure transmitter and without transmission of the suction pressure from the pack controller via the
CAN bus) and the on-off control has not been fully tested. The use of this function must be carefully
checked on the system and is at your own risk.
The priority of the
"Check OD"
alarm should be set to 0 in on-off controller mode to avoid false alarms.
