Reverse Speed
1.
When the reverse speed gear is shifted, the
torque is transferred from the input shaft (1) to the
countershaft (22) performing the first reduction (3
and 21 gear set) of the reverse speed.
2.
After that, the torque is transferred from
countershaft (22), through the countershaft gear
(16) to the reverse idle gear (15), performing the
second reduction (16 and 15 gear set) of this
speed, and finally, the torque is transferred from
the reverse idle gear (15) to the mainshaft reverse
gear (12), performing the third reduction (12 and
15 gear set) of the reverse speed.
3. As a result of the reverse idle gear (15) in this
engagement, the rotation of the mainshaft (14)
in the reverse speed is counterclockwise. This
way, the rotation to the wheels is inverted and the
vehicle can go backward.
