1. General Information
Lubrication
Draining
Drain transmission oil while the oil is warm.
To drain oil, remove the magnetic drain plug. Clean
the drain plug before reinstalling it.

Clean case area around oil filler plug, remove the plug
and refill the transmission until lubricant level is aligned
with the bottom of the filler plug hole.
The amount of oil varies with the position of vehicle
related to the ground and the installation angle of
transmission. Before refilling, place vehicle on a flat
and level surface.
NOTE:
Do not add oil above the recommended level.
This will cause the oil to be forced out through the front
bearing cover, shift lever housing cover, etc.

Electro-Hydraulic Control Unit
The oil level of the electro-hydraulic control unit may be checked either on the vehicle or removed from the
vehicle, installed on the transmission or on the workbench support tool, always keeping the unit leveled.
Recommended oil for the hydraulic control unit:
Tutela CS Speed, Ref #1508.

Oil level check
Before checking oil level, clean case area around filler
plug and if necessary, add enough oil to maintain the
proper oil level.
CAUTION!
Do not mix lubricant of
different types and brands, as this may
cause incompatibility issues.
