Electro-Hydraulic Control Unit
Disassembly and Assembly
This section of the manual provides instructions for replacing components and/or assemblies for the proper
repair of the Electro-Hydraulic Control Unit of the Eaton automated transmission.
When one operation depends on the execution of another to be performed, this will be indicated in brackets [ ].
Example: 1. With the reservoir sealed [see
Preparation Before Disassembly
, operations 3 and 4], release the
two connectors...
NOTE:
• The operations presented in this manual refer to the disassembly and assembly of the Electro-Hydraulic
Control Unit on the bench and already depressurised.

NOTE: The device EEA-18207 (1) can be used
to support the Electro-Hydraulic Control Unit and
perform maintenance on its top and bottom sides
(turning the Unit over 180°).
CAUTION!
Disassembly and assembly of
the Electro-Hydraulic Control Unit should
be done on a clean workbench, in an
environment free of dust and impurities,
and using an equally clean tray to support
the unit and collect any oil leaks.
Where not expressly indicated in this
manual, there is no need to drain the
system oil, being enough to simply
sealing the reservoir cap before replacing
the parts.
Remember that this is a high-precision
product and must be handled by a
qualified professional, with appropriate
tools and in a completely clean place.
Before disassembling any component,
the outside must be thoroughly cleaned
to prevent impurities from entering the
system.

Warnings & Cautions
Always carry out the “important checks on the assembly” at any time (see at the end of this manual).
Pay close attention to avoid contamination of the internal parts of the system with microparticles, dust, water or
any other chemical.
When replacing any Repair Kit, it is mandatory to use all the parts supplied in the kit, e.g.: o’rings, seals, screws,
etc.
When connecting the connectors, be careful not to use excessive amounts of Nyogel as this may make the
connection difficult.
CAUTION!
Any repairs may only be carried out with the electro-hidraulic control unit
depressurised and the oil purged to the reservoir.
