13. Install one 9.5 mm diameter ball, the spring and the
positioner plug. Tighten the plug to a torque of 19 – 26
N.m (14 – 19 lb.ft)
NOTE: Apply threadlocker Loctite 262 in the plug
thread.
14. Install one 7.9 mm ball in the housing on the reverse
gear shift rail, in the hole that connects this rail to the
previously installed interlock.
NOTE: Use grease to keep the balls in their housings.
16. Install one 7.9 mm ball in the 5th / 6th gear shift rail, on
the transverse hole.
NOTE: Use grease to keep the balls in their housings.
15. Install the reverse gear shift rail, properly aligning the
notches on its end with the ball previously installed and
with the hole that connects this rail with the 5th / 6th gear
shift rail. Push the rail until the ball snaps to the notch
on the rail.
