Assembly
NOTE: Clean the parts thoroughly and remove any
residue of sealant from the parts’ contact surfaces
prior to assembly.
1. Properly support the rear case with its internal side facing
up.
2. Carefully clean bearing housings and cups prior to
assembly.
3. Using special tools EEA-17028 (1) and EEA-17501 (2),

without the end play adjusting shims, hitting the cup until
it properly sits at the bottom of its housing.
NOTE: The required quantity of shims will be
determined at the end of the assembly of the gear
box, during the measurement of the end play. After
measurement, the correct quantity of shims should
be installed by removing and re-installing the bearing
cup.
4. Using special tools EEA-17132 (1) and EEA-17501 (2),

without the end play adjusting shims, hitting it until the
cup properly sits at the bottom of its housing.
NOTE: The required quantity of shims will be
determined at the end of the assembly of the gear
box, during the measurement of the end play. After
measurement, the correct quantity of shims should
be installed by removing and re-installing the bearing
cup.
5. Turn the rear case with its internal side facing down and
place the case on the workbench.
6. Manually align the new oil seal and install it in the case
using special tools EEA-17033 and EEA-17501.
