Assembly
1. Lubricate the o’ring and install the new accumulator
applying the specified torque.
Pressure Accumulator Replacement
Disassembly
1. Depressurise the gas from the accumulator by drilling its
body in the same position indicated by the green arrow.
2. After the complete discharge of the gas pressure,
release the accumulator through a T70 Torx wrench.
CAUTION! Make sure that the oil has
been fully depressurised at the time of
removal of the electrohydraulic unit from
the vehicle (oil drain into the reservoir).
NOTE: It should be taken into account that a torque
of 150 Nm has been applied to the accumulator
tightening and, to release it, the torque will be
probably slightly higher.
CAUTION! STOP unscrewing if the torque,
after unlocking, is close to 30Nm. This
indicates that the pressure relief operation
may not have been performed properly. In
this case, redo the discharge procedure.
NOTE: Due to the high torque of 150 Nm the
installation should be carried out with the block fixed
in the bench with rubber top to avoid damages in the
machined region.
