27. TEST LOADING INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGULAR INSPECTION
Drive the lift to a firm, level and even surface.
1. Drive the lift to the transport position. Lift the jib arms slightly. Be careful that the
platform bottom does not hit the ground.
2. Put a weighed load of 275 kg (110 %) onto the platform.
3. Check that the signal light H19 for platform load is flashing on the
work platform.
4. Drive the boom system and the arms to their extreme positions, and extend the
boom extensions from the lower control centre LCB. (maximum lifting height)
5. Lower the boom to the horizontal position (maximum outreach).
6. Establish the standing stability by turning the lift round more than 360°.
7. Retract the telescope and lower the boom to the transport position.
8. Check that the maximum allowed movement speeds will not be exceeded.
9. Check the operation of the safety devices (see point “Operation of the safety
devices”).
10. Check the operation of the platform load control (see point “Regular
servicing/Checking the operation of the load control system for the platform (MRV))”.
11. Check the locking of the oscillating axle (see point “Checking the operation of the
load regulation valves”).
After the above-mentioned test loadings and the subsequent inspection have been
completed without finding any defects in the structure or stability of the lift, the lift may be
used, provided that the reach and platform load restrictions, presented in the reach/platform
load chart of this manual, are observed.
The max. allowed platform load is
250 kg
.
- in conjunction with the first, i.e. start-up, inspection, the lift shall be subjected to an
overload test with a load of 125 % and after that the supporting structures shall be
thoroughly inspected.
- in conjunction with every annual inspection, the lift shall be subjected to a test run with a
maximum permissible load and after that the supporting structures shall be thoroughly
inspected.
- The first inspection shall be recorded in the start-up inspection protocol, and the test-run
shall be recorded in the protocols for the annual and regular inspection.
