16. PREPARING THE LIFT FOR TRANSPORT
16.1 Transporting on flatbed of a vehicle
1. Bring the boom into the transport position (see point “Dimension drawing”).
In the transport position, the boom extensions are fully retracted, the boom is at
its lowest position, the articulated arms have been lowered, and the jib arms
have been lowered near the ground. In addition, the booms are parallel to the
chassis.
See the dimension drawing for alternative, short transport position.
NOTE:
When driving the boom into the short transport position, the boom must
be raised before turning the work platform to prevent the platform from
contacting the ground.
2. Turn off the electric system by turning the switch Q1 in the LCB centre to the middle
position 0, and turn the mains switch BMS to the position 0.
3. Make sure that the boom is parallel to the chassis.
4. When transporting the lift on a lorry, the engine should point in the driving direction.
5. Drive the unit or lift it onto the transport vehicle by the marked points.
6. Turn the selector switch Q1 to position 0, and the mains switch BMS to position 0.
7. Ensure that the protective covers are locked, and that there are no undue objects on
the platform.
8. Tie down the lift at the designated points in the chassis.
Remember also to tie the
boom to prevent the turning device from turning accidentally.
