26.2.5 Checking the boom cylinders
NOTE
DRIVE THE BOOM SYSTEM INTO A POSITION, IN WHICH IT IS SAFE TO CHECK THE
CYLINDER.
Extend the lifting cylinder of the boom from the operating controls on the chassis
control panel (LCB).
1.
Check the condition of the rod and the tightness of the connections and the
sealings.
2.
Retract the cylinder and check the sealings and the connection for tightness.
3.
Check that the hose clamps are in order. The hoses must not be squashed
between the structures in any position.
4.
Lubricate all joints.
5.
Check the operation of the load regulation valves (see point “Load regulation
valves”).
Extend and retract the cylinder of the arms from the operating controls on the
chassis control panel (LCB). Perform the above checks (according to points
1-5
).
Extend and retract the boom cylinder from the operating controls on the chassis
control panel (LCB). Perform the above checks. (according to points
1-5
).
Extend and retract the jib cylinder from the operating controls on the chassis control
panel (LCB). Perform the above checks (acc. to points
1-5
).
Extend and retract the levelling cylinder of the platform from the operating controls
on the chassis control panel (LCB). Perform the above checks (acc. to points
1-5
).
