9. When leaving the lift
Drive the lift to a safe position, preferably to the transport position.
Make sure that the lift will stay in position. Avoid parking on a gradient (if
necessary, use chocks to prevent the machine from breaking loose).
Switch off the power unit.
Prevent unauthorised use of the lift by removing the keys from the control
panel.
13. EMERGENCY DESCENT SYSTEM
13.1 General information
As a precaution against malfunction, the lift is equipped with a battery-operated emergency
descent system.
1. Setup of the system
battery 12V 85 Ah
battery charger 230 VAC (OPTION)
battery charger (Diesel)
emergency power unit 12VDC
2. Servicing the battery
- the system incorporates an automatic battery recharger with short circuit and
overheat protection
- if necessary, top up distilled water above the battery elements
3. The hydraulic unit comprises:
- pressure relief valve, set value 17 MPa (170 bar)
- check
valve
- direct current motor 12 VDC 800 W
The emergency descent system is started from the platform panel UCB via the pushbutton
S11, and from the chassis panel LCB via the pushbutton S14 and the selector switch for the
desired movement.
The emergency descent system can only be operated when the pushbutton is depressed.
The diesel engine stops once the emergency descent system is started.
