• add — Adds ports to the group. If no option is specified, this is the default option.

remove
— Removes ports from the group.

mac-multicast-address
— MAC multicast address in the format of xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx.
• ip- multicast-address — IP multicast address.
• interface-list — Separate non-consecutive Ethernet ports with a comma and no spaces; a
hyphen is used to designate a range of ports.
• port-channel-number-list — Separate non-consecutive port-channels with a comma and
no spaces; a hyphen is used to designate a range of ports.
Default Configuration
No multicast addresses are defined.

User Guidelines
• If the command is executed without add or remove , the command only registers the group in
the bridge database.
• Static multicast addresses can only be defined on static VLANs.
