Port Channel Commands

NOTE:

Some of the commands included in this group may have implications on internal ports.

The

interface port-channel

Global Configuration mode command enters the interface

configuration mode of a specific port-channel.

Syntax

interface port-channel

port-channel-number

— A valid port-channel index.

Default Configuration

This command has no default configuration.

Command Mode

Global Configuration mode

User Guidelines

• Six aggregated links can be defined with up to 6 member ports per port channel. The

aggregated links valid ID’s are 1-8. Turning off auto-negotiation of an aggregate link may,

under some circumstances, make it nonoperational. If the other side has auto-negotiation

turned on, it may re-synchronize all members of the aggregated link to half-duplex operation,

and may, as per the standards, set them all to inactive.
