Interface Configuration mode command sets the number of
seconds that the Ethernet Switch Module remains in the quiet state following a failed
authentication exchange (for example, the client provided an invalid password). Use the
no
form of
this command to return to the default setting.

Time in seconds that the Ethernet Switch Module remains in the quiet state
following a failed authentication exchange with the client. (Range: 0 - 65535 seconds)
Default Configuration
Period is 60 seconds.

User Guidelines
• During the quiet period, the Ethernet Switch Module does not accept or initiate any
authentication requests.
• The default value of this command should only be changed to adjust for unusual
circumstances, such as unreliable links or specific behavioral problems with certain clients.
• If it is necessary to provide a faster response time to the user, a smaller number than the
default should be entered.
