TACACS Commands
• If no host-specific timeout, key or source values are specified, the global values apply to each
host.
Example
The following example specifies a host.
tacacs-server key
The
tacacs-server key
Global Configuration mode command sets the authentication encryption
key used for all communications between the Ethernet Switch Module and the
daemon. To disable the key, use the
no
form of this command.
Syntax
tacacs-server key
key-string
no tacacs-server key

key-string —
Specifies the authentication and encryption key for all
communications between the Ethernet Switch Module and the server. This
key must match the encryption used on the daemon. (Range: 0 - 128
characters)
Default Configuration
Key-string is empty string.

Global Configuration mode command sets the timeout value. To restore
the default, use the

form of this command.
