5. In the Security screen, type the passwords of the non-AMS-managed system
nodes.
Note:
If you prepared a CSV file for your credentials, the password
information in that file will overwrite what is entered in this step. Type
passwords for these fields that meet the VxFlex OS criteria.
a. Type the host operating system password.
b. For ESXi systems, type the SVM password.
c. Type the BMC (iDRAC) password.
d. Type a new AMS recovery key.
This password is required for running the AMS recovery process. It must
meet the following criteria:
l
At least 7 characters long
l
Include at least 3 of the following groups: [a-z], [A-Z], [0-9], special
chars (!@#$ …)
l
An uppercase character at the beginning of the password or a number at
the end of the password is not included in the count of character groups
e. Click Next.
6. In the Management Networks screen, type IP address ranges for the
management networks.
a. Select the IP address version (IPv4 or IPv6) in IP address version.
b. Type IP address ranges for each management network, using the options
described below.
Note:
If the non-AMS-managed system has both ESXi and Linux nodes,
only type the addresses for the ESXi hosts in this step.
c. Click Next.

separate the networks on different VLANs and assign a
VLAN ID. The host and the SVM should have the same
VLAN ID. Entering a VLAN ID of 0, or leaving the VLAN

network.
