l
Linux:
rpm -ivh EMC-ScaleIO-ams-3.0-<build>.x86_64.rpm
To install as a proxy discovery server, add

"Install the VxFlex Ready Node AMS."
3. Log in to the VxFlex OS GUI:
a. Open the VxFlex OS GUI by selecting Start
>
All Programs
>
VxFlex OS
GUI.
The initial login screen is displayed.
b. Type the AMS IP address or hostname and click Connect.
Note:
Ensure that you type the IP address of the AMS server, not of the
MDM server.
If a certificate notice is displayed, review and accept the certificate.
c. In the login screen, type the AMS username and a temporary password, then
click Login.
You are prompted to change the temporary password. Type and confirm a
new password, then click Login.
The AMS Initial Setup Wizard begins. For a full description of this process, see
"Deploying VxFlex Ready Node."
4. In the System screen, set general system preferences:
a. Type a system name (optional).
b. Select the operating system environment.
Your choice here will customize the AMS setup and deployment process for
the selected operating system only. You can add nodes of a different
operating system type after completing the initial deployment.
Note:
If the system to be taken over has both Linux and ESXi nodes,
select ESXi and enter the credentials and IP addresses for those nodes
only. Add the Linux nodes after the initial setup, as described at the end
of this process.
This documentation describes steps for all operating systems, even though
some steps (such as SVM configuration) are not relevant for Linux
deployment.
c. Select to set up the AMS as a discovery proxy (optional), and enter its IP
address.
