directly working with the spread material. Each time before starting work with the
spreader, it is essential to check the condition of blades and spreading strips
– on
both drums and plates. If the case of noticing damage to the blade in the form of
cracking or deformation that can cause damage to associated components such as:
guard / deflector, inner wall, cooperating drum, the damaged part must be replaced
immediately. Elements guarding the adapter's drums (e.g.: guards/deflectors, levers)
should also be cleaned of residual material after work.
The manufacturer has provided two methods of adjusting spreading. The first of
them involves adjusting the inclination of plates (fig. 15), which makes it possible to set
the stream of spread material according to the given width of rows. To set plates in
the desired position, move the adjustment lever to one of five possible positions,
where the extreme settings are positions A and B (fig. 16). The maximum inclination of
plates is 12
°.
It is also possible to set the direction of spreading (fig. 17) using the rear flap of
the adapter. In position A, the product is spread in the backward and side directions,
the flap rests on the adapter's guard and is locked by pins, and in position B, when
the
flap is
closed
–
spreadi
ng is directed to the sides. In spreading position A, plates should be set parallel to the
ground.

It is essential, before every use of the spreader, to check the
tightness of screws. Failure to perform this activity may lead to
severe damage to the machine or injury to persons found in the
proximity of the running machine.
