Carefully slide the cooling matrix directly for-
ward. Do not allow the radiator core to come into
contact with anything that might damage it.
See Figure 4.69.
NOTE:
A piece of corrugated cardboard may be
placed under the radiator for protection. Failure
to remove the cardboard when the radiator is re-
mounted will result in engine over-heating and
extensive engine damage.
9.
Remove the throttle pedal:
9a. Unhook the throttle return spring from the
pedal.
9b. Disconnect the throttle cable from the
throttle pedal using a 3/16” allen wrench
and a 1/2” wrench. See Figure 4.70.
9c. Remove the shoulder bolt that the throttle
pedal pivots on using a 9/16” wrench and
a 3/4” wrench. See Figure 4.71.
9d. The throttle pedal can be removed as the
kick panel comes out.
10.
Remove the drive shaft cover:
10a. Remove the 4 screws that secure the front
driveshaft cover using a 1/2” wrench.
10b. Pry-out the push-in fasteners that hold the
front corners of the driveshaft cover to the
floor, then lift-up the cover from the back
edge, and remove it from the vehicle.
