L2TP Pass Through

Enable or disable the L2TP pass through on the Residential
Gateway. L2TP stands for “Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol”. It is used to enable Point-to-
Point sessions via the Internet on the Layer 2 level.

3.6.5 UPnP
Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is a distributed, open networking standard that uses TCP/IP for
simple peer-to-peer network connectivity between devices. An UPnP device can dynamically join a
network, obtain an IP address, convey its capabilities and learn about other devices on the
network. In turn, a device can leave a network smoothly and automatically.
Select
UPnP
from the
Security
sub menu bar. Then, this
screen page appears as follows:
Click this drop-down box then click OK button to enable UPnP feature. UPNP provides
compatibility with networking equipment, software and peripherals.
3.6.6 DDoS
The Residential Gateway supports DDoS Prevention. DDoS stands for “Distributed Denial of
Service”. It is a Hacker’s attack from a multitude of compromised systems to a target. It will cause
the target to deny the service for normal users. Select
