Alarms
Audible
The monitor will sound an alarm when parameters set for systolic, mean, diastolic pressures, or pulse rate are
violated. The audible alarm is a high-pitched tone that sounds at one second intervals. To silence the alarm
press the switch.
If the monitor is unable to take a pressure due to an error code displayed in the LCD display, [Example: E03 —
Cuff Disconnect] the audible alarm will sound continuously until the switch is pressed.
If the monitor is unable to determine the measurement values and a caution code is displayed in the LCD display
[Example: C13 — motion artifact], three consecutive audible (alert-before-measurement-retry) tones will be
sounded to announce a measurement retry.
Visual
The visual alarm will be noticed as a flashing LED display of the measurement parameter that violated the alarm
setting. The LED display will remain flashing until the next measurement is taken. Even if the audible alarm is
silenced, visual alarms still display as a flashing LED.
Alarm Limits
Note:
In the Adult/Pediatric Mode, if systolic pressure drops below 70 mmHg, the alarm will sound, no
matter where the limits are set.
