shutdown (T1/E1)
To disable the T1 or E1 controller, use the
shutdown
command in T1 or E1 configuration mode. To restart
a disabled T1 or E1 controller, use the
no
form of this command.

Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes appropriate task
IDs. If the user group assignment is preventing you from using a command, contact your AAA administrator
for assistance.
Shutting down the T1 or E1 controller disables all functions on the interface and sends an AIS alarm to the
network. The
shutdown
command marks the interface as unavailable. To check if the controller is disabled,
use the
show controllers t1
or
show controllers e1
command.
