Appendix E Configuring the Client Adapter through the Windows XP Operating System
Configuring the Client Adapter
Enabling PEAP Authentication
Follow the steps below to prepare the client adapter to use PEAP authentication, provided you have
completed the initial configuration.
Step 1
Click the Authentication tab on the Wireless Network Properties screen. The following screen appears
(see
Figure E-5
).

Step 2
Check the Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network check box if you did not enable WPA
or WPA-PSK on the Association screen.
Step 3
For EAP type, select PEAP. Click Properties. The PEAP Properties screen appears (see
Figure E-6
).
