C.8 SETTING UP A FORMAT
Note: While in the formatting mode, pressing the
F 7
. key , will exit the LCD Edit Function.
Step-1: Switching On.

Step-2: Format Location Selection.
If the format is going to be the primary format,
(the format that is used most often), it should be
placed in location " 00 ". If it is not the primary
format, select any available format n u m b e r
between 01 and 19 inclusively.
A Host Computer can send data to these formats,
thus if the format to be designed will be used by
the Host, data processing must be notified to
determine the number to be given to the format.
Step-3: Format Selection
An example test format will be programmed in
format No. 14.
Refer to page 80 for the layout of the text.
Format 14 was selected because when the menu
was scanned by pressing ESC, F2 and then tabbing
through the fields, Format 14 had a default name
of "OPEN". All open formats will be named "OPEN".
