Station Scanning
Press and release the
SCAN/AST
button
to enter scan mode.
The radio will find the next station
and stay there for a few seconds.
Then it will go to the next station
and pause, and keep doing that.
The radio will only scan to stations
that are in the selected band.
Press the button again to stop this
function.
PRESETTING STATIONS
The station preset buttons
allow
you to store and quickly recall six
stations on each band.
See "Presetting Stations Manually"
for more information.
The radio's Autostore feature
allows you to automatically store
radio stations with the strongest
reception as the presets on two
additional radio bands, AM-A and
FM-A.
See "Presetting Stations Automati-
cally" for more information.

Presetting Stations Manually
To store a radio station as a preset,
do the following:
1. Press
AM
or
FM
to select
the desired radio band.
2. Tune in the station.
3. Press and hold the desired
preset button for more than
one second.
The current push-button
number will flash on the
display.
Repeat the steps for each preset
button.
To select a preset station, press the
corresponding preset station
button.
Presetting Stations
Automatically
This feature allows you to store the
radio stations with the strongest
signals as presets.
AM stations are stored to the
AM-A autostore band and FM
stations are stored to the FM-A
autostore band.
To use this feature, do the
following:
1. Press
AM
or
FM
to select
the desired radio band.
2. Press and hold the
SCAN/AST
button
for two seconds
until
AUTO SCANNING
appears on the display.
SCANNING
will flash on the
display.
3. The radio will automatically
search the band and store the
six radio stations with the
strongest reception on preset
buttons
1
through
6
in the
selected autostore band (FM-A
or AM-A).
As a station is stored, its
frequency will temporarily
flash on the display.
4. Once the stations are stored,
the radio will switch to FM1
and the first preset station will
begin to play.
FM-A
will appear on the
display when you are listening
to the autostore stations.
Press
AM
or
FM
to cancel this
feature.
