Hazard Warning Flashers
The hazard warning flasher control
is located at the center of the
instrument panel.
Press the flasher button in to make
your front and rear turn signal
lights flash on and off. It works in
whichever position your ignition
key is in, and even if the key isn't
in.
Press the button again to turn this
feature off.
For important safety and
maintenance information, see
"Turn Signal" earlier in this section.
Headlight Leveling Control
(If equipped)
Your headlights have a 4-position
leveling dial located on the
instrument panel near the steering
column.
Adjust the dial position according
to the vehicle load.

: Front seat occupied
•
1
: All seats occupied
•
2
: All seats occupied with a
load in the luggage compart-
ment.
•
3
: Driver's seats occupied
with a load in the luggage
compartment.
The load in the luggage
compartment should not
exceed 316 kg for sedan
models or 295 kg for hatch-
back models.

Dome Light
The dome light switch has three
positions. Move the switch to
ON
to turn the light on manually.
Move the switch to the center
position if you want the light to
turn on automatically whenever a
door is opened.
Move the switch to
OFF
to keep
the light off at all times.
CAUTION
Avoid using the dome light
while driving in the dark. A
lighted passenger compart-
ment reduces visibility in the
dark and could cause a colli-
sion.
Battery Saver
When you leave the light switch in
the
or position, remove
the key, and open the driver's
door, the lights will turn off
automatically to keep your battery
from draining.
Note:
This feature does not automati-
cally turn off the dome light.
