All doors will unlock, the hazard
lights will flash twice and the
anti-theft system will disarm.
If a door, the trunk or liftgate, or
the hood is not opened or the
ignition is not turned to ON within
30 seconds of disarming the
system, the system will lock the
doors and reset the armed theft
deterrent system.

REMOTE KEYLESS
ENTRY (IF EQUIPPED)
This option allows you to lock or
unlock your doors from up to 6 m
away.
Note:
• If the key is left in the ignition
the transmitter buttons will not
operate.
• Operating the remote keyless
entry system may interact with
the vehicle's theft deterrent
system (if equipped).
See "Content Theft Deterrent
System" earlier in this section
for more information.
CAUTION
Do not lock the vehicle using
the remote keyless entry
transmitter if anyone is to be
left inside the vehicle.
Leaving children, helpless
adults, or pets in a vehicle
with the windows closed is
dangerous. They could be over-
come by extreme heat and
could suffer permanent injuries
or even death from heat stroke.
Never leave a child, a helpless
adult, or a pet alone in a vehi-
cle, especially with the windows
closed in warm or hot weather.

Operation
Lock
Press to lock all doors.
The indicator light will flash on
the transmitter to show that it is
operational.
The hazard lights will flash once.
Unlock
• Sedan
Press to unlock all doors.
• Hatchback
Press to unlock all doors.
The hazard lights will flash twice.
Note:
If a door, the trunk or the
liftgate, or the hood is not
opened or the key is not placed
in the ignition within
30 seconds, all doors will
automatically lock.
Trunk Release (Sedan Only)
Press and hold for one second
to unlatch the trunk.
